The camera is more than a recording device: it is a real-time safety intelligence system that monitors driving behavior, detects high-risk events, and generates AI-backed evidence packages (video + GPS + G-force data) automatically. By providing the hardware, Pick N Drop ensures 100% compliance across the fleet and eliminates any cost barrier for drivers.
AI-powered incident detection
The dashcam’s on-board AI continuously analyzes both the road environment and driver behavior in real time. It is trained to instantly identify high-risk events including harsh braking, aggressive acceleration, unsafe following distance (tailgating), lane departure, and collisions. When an event is detected, the AI automatically captures a complete evidence package — a 20-second clip synced with telematics data — and securely transmits it to the cloud for immediate review by the 24/7 Safety Team. This transforms the camera from a passive recorder into a proactive safety assistant.
Front-road & cabin coverage
The dual-facing dashcam system captures both the road ahead and the vehicle interior (where legally permissible). Front-road coverage records traffic conditions and external events, providing irrefutable proof for accident claims and traffic incidents. Cabin coverage records all interior interactions impartially, protecting drivers from false accusations of misconduct or damage while also protecting riders from unsafe driver behavior. Together, they eliminate ambiguity from any dispute.
Secure video storage
All footage is recorded locally on the dash cam unit with on-device encryption, then immediately transmitted via secure, encrypted channels to cloud storage. Footage is not routinely watched by anyone — access is strictly limited to authorized Safety Team and Legal/Compliance personnel for specific, documented purposes: investigating an AI-flagged event, resolving a formal complaint, or fulfilling a lawful request from law enforcement or insurers. Non-event footage is automatically overwritten after a short retention period to protect privacy.
24/7 incident response support
The 24/7 Safety Team is staffed around the clock by professionals trained in crisis management and emergency response protocols. They are directly integrated with the AI dash cam system — when a critical incident is detected, an automatic alert is sent to the team with the full AI-backed evidence package, often before the driver can manually report it. The team can immediately contact emergency services with precise GPS location and trip data, retrieve and preserve evidence, and manage all aspects of the incident to ensure a swift and fair resolution.
GPS trip tracking
Every vehicle is continuously connected via GPS from the moment a trip starts to its completion. The GPS data powers real-time tracking for riders and creates a complete, verifiable record of the route taken. The 24/7 Safety Team monitors active trips — if a vehicle stops unexpectedly for an extended period or deviates significantly from the route without reason, the system flags it for review, enabling proactive intervention. GPS data is also used for the Fast Booking driver-matching algorithm, ensuring efficiency for both riders and drivers.
Verify your ride (PIN)
When a rider books a trip, the app generates a unique, one-time-use 4-digit PIN displayed in their app. At pickup, the rider provides the PIN to the driver, who must enter it into the driver app before the trip can be started. If the wrong PIN is entered, the app blocks the ‘Start Trip’ action entirely. This protects drivers from liability by confirming the correct, booked passenger is in the vehicle before billing begins, and prevents ‘ghost rides’ where a fare is charged without the rider being present.
Anonymous communication
All calls and messages between riders and drivers are routed through the app via a virtual number masking system. Neither party ever sees the other’s personal phone number — only a temporary proxy number is used for the duration of the trip. Once the ride is completed, the connection expires automatically. This protects drivers from unwanted contact or harassment after a trip is over, preserving their privacy and personal information while still enabling essential pickup coordination.
Driving hour limits
The platform uses GPS trip tracking data to monitor driver wheel-time accurately and enforces maximum active driving limits in compliance with local transport regulations. When a driver approaches the limit, the app issues a warning. Upon reaching it, the system automatically logs the driver offline and prevents them from accepting new requests until a mandatory rest period has been completed. This non-negotiable safeguard protects drivers’ physical well-being, reduces accident risk from fatigue, and ensures every trip is conducted by an alert, fit driver.
2-way ratings
After every completed trip, both the driver and the rider rate each other on a 1–5 star scale with optional written feedback. Drivers rate riders on courtesy, punctuality, and respectful behavior — holding riders accountable and protecting drivers from disrespectful passengers. Riders rate drivers on professionalism, vehicle condition, and safety. Consistently low driver ratings trigger coaching, mandatory safety training, or deactivation. Consistently low rider ratings may result in warnings or removal from the platform. The system ensures mutual accountability and continuously raises community standards.
